Dear Jeff and Lynda,
Thank you for allowing us to celebrate our 50th Wedding Anniversary in Hawaii! Sorry we blew the lights out all over the island! We enjoyed the rest and the scenic trips as well as being enriched by our worship together. Thanks also for the special help with the wheel chair for Joyce.
May God bless and keep you as you together serve Him!

What a blessing it’s been to us to spend three restful and delightful days at Eden by the Sea. We wish we could stay longer, but our family call us on to Kona. This apartment is so attractively decorated and finished with everything a person needs. Thank you for this loving and caring ministry.

Aloha Jeff and Lynda,
Thank you so much for everything….the beautiful cottage (tastefully decorated), the goodies in the fridge, the use of the beach gear…all made our stay a blessing.

Dear Jeff and Lynda,
What a tremendous ministry you have to your brothers and sisters in Christ. This place is a refreshing paradise! Thank you, Mahalo, for letting us stay here and be recipients of your graciousness. We can see from all the journaling of others that you have richly blessed so many here in this place of peace. “May the Lord, from whom all peace comes, Himself give you His peace at all times and in all ways.” Amen. I Thess. 3:16 We pray God’s blessings continually be on you and your ministry.

Dear Jeff and Lynda,
We would like to thank you. “Mahalo”, for the restful, relaxing two weeks we spent here. Eden by the Sea provides an excellent place to unwind. We especially enjoyed our “romantic dinner” provided (prepared) by Chef Lynda. It was the best meal we had while on vacation. We will definitely share our experience with others so they may also enjoy God’s beautiful Hawaii.

Dear Jeff and Lynda
Thank you for allowing us to share your beautiful place. May God continue to bless your ministry here. The cottage is beautiful and our stay here was even better than we expected. Of all the beaches we visited, Kailua Beach was the best. Our two best and favorite restaurants were Pinky’s and Assagio’s. We intend to share your beautiful “Eden” with other church workers, so they too can experience a fun and relaxing vacation. In His Service,

Dear Jeff and Lynda,
God is using both of you in such a powerful way through your church, school and mission ministries and your ministry families in Oahu and foreign lands! Your personal ministry of Eden by the Sea touches people with unconditional love all over the mainland as well. By helping couples be refreshed and renewed in this beautiful place, they are encouraged to serve those whose lives they touch. It has such a rippling effect! Words can’t adequately express how much we were blessed. You think of every big and little detail to make this a perfect experience-from maps, restaurant and activity suggestions. Books about this lovely place, romantic music. Lovely gardens, the lit torch to welcome us home each night and then that wonderful dinner! It’s truly overwhelming to be served like this! We pray that you also will experience this kind of love from others. You made it possible for us to see and experience this beautiful park of God’s creation. In the midst of your very busy church and family responsibilities, you still make time to share this kind of love to “strangers” and through that we feel like “family” Mahalo! We hope our paths may cross again. God has demonstrated His love to us through you and for that we are most grateful!

Dear Lynda and Jeff,
Our time here in beautiful Hawaii is coming to an end. We want to thank you both from the bottom of our hearts for your hospitality, for allowing us to stay at the beautiful, peaceful Eden by the Sea. It is most comfortable and a wonderful place. Spending time with your and our children and grandchildren has been the most fulfilling. I am so grateful to God for placing our son in such a warm and loving family. I know that he truly loves you both and respects your opinions and your advice. Yes, we are truly blessed also to have a wonderful daughter we have gained in Nikki. She is a wonderful wife and mother. God is good!
Thank you again and God bless you, Aloha!

Dear Jeff and Lynda,
We came here a few days ago with a burden on our minds. My young church needs to grow and you both have taught me the Lord’s way of Church growth. The necessary gift is hospitality. Two nights ago I woke with the sound of running water. I noticed it was raining a warm rain. So I went out and sat under the canopy and in joy and peace I prayed, thanking God for all His gifts and my home church. He then said do me, “I gave you food and clothing and security but you did not know me. I gave you home and health but you did not know me. So I come to you by water and the word and you know me.” It is God who reached out to us in hospitality even when we do not know Him and then by Grace comes to us in our baptism and adopts us into His family. I sat in the rain under this beautiful canopy in the Garden of Eden and all was clear to me. Your beautiful home was a type for our heavenly home. God’s servants provided for us all that we needed for our peace, joy, and even security in this house. In our Father’s house are many mansions and we had ours in your home. The house represented the church universal and as you provided for us the most wonderful meal, it reminded me of the most beautiful meal the church can give. Prepared the His servants we partake of His body and blood at each banquet, where Christ is at the center of the menu. Thank you for being our friends giving us the peace, joy, and direction of hospitality.

Dear Jeff & Lynda,
“How beautiful on the mountains are the feet of those who bring good news!” Thank you for the ways you have shared God’s grace in all its forms with us this week. This was a wonderful place for us to begin our married life together-so relaxed, pampered, refreshed….so much time together. We have been able to explore the island, enjoyed worship with your family. May God the Father and our Lord Jesus Christ bless you as you “turn many to righteousness and so shine life the stars in the heavens”.

Susan and I are going with a sense of humility. It is always humbling to be served and honored by a man and woman of God. You have a good work here and our prayers will be that God stretches the foundation of your ministry and increases the anointing of your effectiveness by the Spirit. Thank you for serving the Body of Christ so well. We love you and look forward to seeing you again soon. Thank you! (Gary)
What a blessing it has been to stay in your lovely Eden by the Sea and to get to know both of you-The Lord certainly has called you to this very special ministry and given you both the gifts of a servant’s heart and of love for God’s people and His Kingdom. Your place and the Spirit of God that is so evident here have truly ministered to us in precious and eternal ways. The candlelight dinner was wonderful and the food delicious and the service impeccable. Thank you booth for all the love and heart you pour into your ministry here and at Good Shepherd. We were indeed blessed to worship with you all this morning and with our dear brother “Bubba”. We felt the Spirit of the Lord present in your church this morning and we love the sincerity and transparent heart and genuineness that radiates from you, Jeff, as you share the Words of God. We truly are grateful for the opportunity to stay at Eden by the Sea and our hearts will miss it and you all-we look forward to seeing you again and will keep you and your family, Good Shepherd, and your ministry in our prayers.

Dear Lynda & Jeff,
Our bags are packed and off we go, refreshed. “Be still and know that I am God” has special meaning after such a delightful, peaceful respite. Our memories are also packed…the beauty of Oahu, the majesty of the mountains, the clear water and air. But Eden by the Sea will always be our first memory of Oahu. We too enjoyed the paradise garden, your spiritual library, the décor so carefully planned, and Jeff’s meticulous gardens. However, the best memory is being here with God’s servants, enjoying your casual gift of hospitality, getting to hear about your ministry and church planting, and family, and your memories of the Whited family during seminary days. We so appreciated the energetic mission minded emphasis of your worship service. It was so timely for us both-Jim at the Eastern District Office and Sue with a move to coordinated worship at First Trinity.
God is gracious-all the time.

Thank you for your ministry! The cottage is beautiful and the patio area, a paradise. What a wonderful way to spend our twentieth Wedding Anniversary! Thank you for your wonderful hospitality, the “Gourmet Dinner” and of course our excellent waiter. May God Bless you in the future as you continue “Eden by the Sea”. Mahalo Jeff and Lynda!
Our discussion on our last day at the beach was-“when are we coming back!?” God’s provision through you in Eden by the Sea has been an awesome blessing, and a one-of-a-kind getaway we have come to love. In our 10 years of marriage, this for obvious reasons has been our favorite vacation. And has left us ready to tackle the next 10 years. Though we pray we’ll be back before that! Gavin 7, Jenna 5, Julia 2 and Jadyn 11 months will reap the long lasting benefits of our time here to renew as individuals and as a couple. We will be praying for you both as you carry out God’s vision for your church and all the ministries stemming from there! Please know that if you are ever in Colorado-our “Eden by the Mountains” you will be treated as family-just as we have been treated.

Dear Jeff and Lynda,
Peter writes: “Show hospitality without grumbling. As each has received a gift, use it to serve one another, as good stewards of God’s varied graces…by the strength that God supplies-in order that in everything God may be glorified through Jesus Chris. To Him belong glory and dominion forever and ever. Amen” (1 Peter 4:9-11)
We give glory and praise to God today for your hospitality, for the gift of Eden by the Sea, and for your ministry to us this week in this wonderful place. We have had a wonderful time and God bless us through you. Thank you so much! May God bless you and your family as you continue to serve Him!

Aloha Jeff & Lynda!
We want to thank you for the wonderful and marvelous week we spent in your and God’s care. What we are taking back to Kansas with us is a sense of rest and renewal. What we liked the best in Oahu: the guest house (especially the wonderful bed! Sooo…relaxing); our time spent with you; the beautiful views of these Hawaiian island; the people from here-they are so kind and courteous; the Paradise Cove Luau; a refreshing church service (I never knew contemporary worship could be so good!); the gourmet meal cooked by Lynda and served so graciously by Jeff; and to include the meals we had from various island restaurants. Being disabled, I was really worried about our trip to Hawaii. I prayed fervently that God would take care of me. And, my prayers were answered. I have had much less pain and fatigue here. It was a blessing for both of us! Please tell your church members how welcomed we felt at church on Super Sunday. They are special people.
Take care, God Bless, and Mahalo-once again!

Eden by the Sea called with a lure that led to great anticipation. Our experience here as we celebrated our 45th wedding anniversary, more than matched our hope & dreams. What a marvelous time. Lynda and Jeff,
What a wonderful retreat and vacation we have had here at “Eden by the Sea” this week. God has truly blessed us with a wonderful view of His handiwork. Hawaii is so gorgeous-what a glimpse of Heaven! Thank you for your hospitality, the delicious dinner in the garden and the fellowship afterward. We both needed an opportunity to recharge and reconnect and this was the best place to do that. I keep hearing “BE STILL AND KNOW…” in my head and heart. As we head to the beach for our day of relaxation, we say Mahalo to you and to our Father for giving us this time and place.

Dear Lynda & Jeff,
For several months we excitedly anticipated our visit to Oahu & Eden by the Sea, a retirement present from Grace Lutheran Church in Woodbridge Virginia and an anniversary present from our sons, Jonathan and Jeremy. Forty years of God’s grace both in ministry and marriage! Our stay was a wonderful combination of sight seeing and relaxing on this lovely island. Foster Botanical garden was my favorite and Keith’s favorite was the morning hike to the top of Diamond Heat Crater. Morning, afternoon and evening trips to the many beaches, great restaurants and new food experiences, shopping at Waikiki and the Aloha Stadium swap meet were fun too. Best of all was our time together for rest, recreation, refreshment and renewal. Thank you Jeff & Lynda for the delicious candlelight dinner. (I wish my molten lava cake would turn out as nice as yours Lynda!) We especially thank you for opening your guest house to us so that these two lovely weeks could happen. For us it was truly paradise at Eden by the Sea.
And God said: Behold, it was very good! Mahalo- and God bless you!

Dear Jeff & Lynda,
Our sweet hoalohas, I can’t believe how fast this week has gone. It has been an amazing time for me in many ways. From the first day until now, I’ve had quite a lesson in humility. I’ve truly been humbled by your gracious love, sacrificial giving and your servant hearts. I’ve also been in awe at God’s amazing creation (talk about an artistic masterpiece). His imagination is simply endless and full of surprises. The place you have created here at Eden By The Sea is an amazing service to so many. It is welcoming and homey. So I’d like to join all the others who’ve come before me and say “Thank you for heeding His call.” Before I close, I have a word for you from our great God. Taken from 3John vs. 5: “Dear friend, you are faithful in what you are doing for the brothers, even though they are strangers to you. They have told the church about your love. You will do well to send them on their way in a manner worthy of God. It was for the sake of the name that they went out, receiving no help from the pagans. We ought therefore to show hospitality to such men so that we may work together for the truth.”
Keep up the good work and may God bless you abundantly.
We love you hoalohas,

Al and I can’t thank you enough for all that you provided for us here at Eden by the Sea. You are both such delightful people, and we could not stop raving about the quaint cottage, beautiful patio, and delicious romantic dinner. We loved exploring Oahu together, being adventurous on trails, and the rest and relaxation of just taking it easy on the beach. Without your generosity, our honeymoon stay here in Hawaii would not have been possible. Praise God for all his beautiful creation here in Hawaii and for giving you such missional hearts and minds. Dear Jeff and Lynda,
What a deeply relaxing, refreshing and rejuvenating time! We met our Creator and Redeemer at very turn – in you as our hosts, in your congregation as they (we) worshipped and praised God, from the desolation of volcanoes to the majesty of lush waterfalls. If God can take a place of desolation like a lava flow from a volcano and turn it into a place like Hawaii, which feels like paradise, can you imagine the wonder and glory of the new heaven and new earth? I think he has given us a glimpse…and it is that glimpse of Him that will sustain us as we return into His service. Thank you for heeding His call to provide Eden by the Sea and for your service to His Kingdom, for the opportunity to “be still and know…” In Christ’s love, Melissa Duncan
Blessings, Jeff and Lynda,
God has blessed all his children with special gifts to serve others. You have been given the talent of hospitality. I look around the carefully planned and manicured gardens of our ‘backyard paradise’ and can see and feel the love of God coming through all that I see and experience. What a blessed week of rest, relaxation and renewal with my lovely helpmeet, Melissa. She knows how hard it is for me to relax and take life slowly. Here, in your gift of hospitality, God has worked His miraculous wonders of refreshing joy! You said that we used the yard and garden more than anyone you can remember. It’s for good reason! Here, the sun warmed us and the moon captivated our attention, especially during the total lunar eclipse. Here the birds quietly sang to us of God’s providence. Here the palms and tropical plants whispered softly that God was caring for them as He was for us. The islands sing of His love and the joy our Father has in His creation. We are blessed to be His crown an d now renewed, we go forth to proclaim his glory! Mahalo!

Dear Jeff and Lynda,
Mahalo! We were so excited when we first heard about “Eden by the Sea”! We knew we couldn’t miss out on such a wonderful opportunity to come and explore Hawaii. It is the first time in 16 years that it is just the two of us. We had a glorious time doing whatever we wanted, whenever we wanted to. Thank you for everything you provided. I can’t tell you how many hours we spent sitting in the beach chairs enjoying the beauty of everything. Snorkeling was also one of our favorite activities. It’s just something you can’t do in Ohio . The room and garden area are beautiful. I’m sitting outside right now enjoying our last few hours in the garden. Thank you again for everything. You couldn’t have been more wonderful hosts. We truly hope to return again sometime.

On my first morning here in the cottage I had my devotion and felt the Spirit's presence through that sense of peace He's known for. Then I recalled that you had been praying for my safe arrival and time of rest and reflecting. Your prayers have been answered! This time has been a homecoming for me-a time to renew friendships, get my focus, and recount where God has led me in the past as He's held me up as a military chaplain. Thank you for providing this comfortable place of refuge. May the Lord continue to use you and this unique ministry to bless others.

Dear wonderful friends in Christ,
Thank you for making it possible for us to come to this amazingly beautiful place. We feel so blessed to just "soak up" all the beauty. You have provided a special ministry here and the Lord has blessed all who come, and you must feel blessed too, to be able to have such a spiritual uplift to the others who also minister in His name. Jeff and Lynda,
We waited a long time to enjoy "Eden by the Sea". Good things come to those who wait. What a place to rest, relax and refocus on the important things in life. We really enjoyed the Good Shepherd Ohana. Everyone was extremely friendly! They made us feel warm and welcome at Sunday's Worship. I think the highlight of the vacation was our special candlelight "romantic" dinner under the tiki lights. "Joh-frey" was an excellent server and kudos to the chef! The meal was excellent! We than you for allowing us use your special place here in God's paradise. The two of you are wonderful servants of God. Your love for God is evident as you demonstrate that love be serving others. Dearest Jeff and Lynda,
It has been great to be here. I had no idea in Oct. 2005 when I first contacted you regarding a stay at Eden by the Sea, just how we would need this week. 2006 was an incredibly difficult year for our family, but to end it with this week on Oahu and specifically in the restful care of two such wonderful brothers and sisters in Christ. We enjoyed worshipping with you Christmas Eve and meeting the Good Shepherd Ohana. Thank you for a delightful worship experience. We head back rested and renewed ready to face a new year. Thank you again for your generous hospitality!

Today is Bernadette's birthday and what a special birthday (birth-weekend) gift you gave to her, and I got to be blessed too. Just from what we knew and had heard (good things!) about the both of you and from what we read and saw on the Eden by the Sea webpage, we knew it was going to be a delightful setting and visit. But our actual time and experience here exceeding our already high expectations. Mahalo for your generosity, hospitality, gracious-ness, and aloha. Thank you also for the orientation, advice, and the recourse you shared with me and Bernadette about mission development. Melinda and I would have hardly imagined that your "love shack" in your backyard, would be the place of new beginnings for us and our girls. The peace of the LORD is upon this place. In fact, we're quite sure that it radiates from the couple and happy home in which it is attached.
Thank you for being not only our Pastor, but also our friend.

What a blessing it has been to reunite with you! Once again God has shown us what a special friendship we have. Eden by the Sea has been a place of renewal and solitude. It has been an experience for Cheryl and I that will be forever imprinted in our memories. We have connected on yet another new level and God has given us a renewed purpose for our marriage, family and ministry together. You both are precious to us and hold a special place in our hearts. God has blessed you with his own heart and will continue to use you to bless others. Words will never express the blessings this place and you two are in our lives. You will always have our love and prayers!
Sam has really spoken my heart felt feelings already, but I really want to add my thanks and express how awesome a week this has truly been. Sharing time and pieces of our lives together has meant so much to me. Thank you so much for the special anniversary dinner. "Joh-frey" was such a fine server and chef Lynda, you created a meal fit for royalty! You made us feel so special! I'll remember the nights on the beach forever-listening to the waves, looking at the stars and the clouds, and chasing the crabs with the flashlight-okay, maybe I wasn't so brave about that-running away and screaming probably a better description. I'll be praying for God's continued blessings and guidance in your very special ministries here. I can't stand good-byes so I'll just say-See you soon!
Love you tons!

Dear Lynda and Jeff,
Mahalo! Words cannot adequately express our gratitude. This week our spirits have been touched and graced by the beauty and wonder of nature: the many hued diversely shaped flowers, the varied cooing colorful bird life, the magnificent blue ocean with its relaxing waves, the fresh falling rains. We have appreciated the music, dance and history of the cultures on this island. Most significantly we have been privileged and blessed to have been in this sacred space created by the two of you. The grad is truly a sanctuary. The romantic dinner prepared by Lynda and served by Jeff was marvelous. Your hospitably and graciousness made this a week we will always cherish. Some day we hope to return and certainly we will spread the word about Eden by the Sea, a very special place.

The opportunity to relax and enjoy "Eden by the Sea" has been a blessing to us. God has granted us 40 years of marriage, and Don over 29 years in the ministry. Throughout those years He has provided us with many opportunities to share and receive His love. Your ministry provided through "Eden by the Sea" is a reflection of our love for God and your care for the workers in His mission. May God continue to richly bless your ministry.

My Butterfly Friend & me
I sit in a paradise garden in Eden by the Sea.
This Hawaiian tropical haven of reds and greens is as restful as it can be.
I spy a beautiful butterfly with wings of white and black.
I invite him to come and play with me amongst the waterfall and palms.
He hears me call and flutters around just teasing me as he flies.
I cannot help but wish I were he, to see from way up high in the sky.
What must he think as he flutters about his fragile wings whipping here and there.
Ah, here she comes to join him. His little butterfly mate...now I see!
Is he any different than I...my butterfly by the sea...
just as love falls from the sky so blue, my butterfly has a love as I do.
We are not so different I can see my little butterfly friend and me.
Love touches our hearts and we are content to enjoy the garden of "Eden by the Sea" (Sharie).
Jeff and Lynda, We had the best time, absolutely loved the dinner and the doves cooing will always be remembered. We will return.

Dear Jeff and Lynda
Thank you for modeling Christ's love for us. He came to serve, not to be served. We have been humbled by your humble service here at Eden by the Sea. And we were loved by the Spirit of Christ. And from all the Saints at Good Shepherd. Malaho! Thank you for this wonderful place to escape the hustle and bustle of our lives. This is truly a place to "be still and know that I am God". This is our first trip to Hawaii in celebration of our 40th wedding anniversary. What a beautiful place. May the Lord continue to bless you and your ministry.

Despite this being the rainiest March in the past 99 years it could not dampen the enjoyment that we had this first trip to Hawaii for our 25th anniversary. You and Eden by the Sea are truly blessings. The dinner in the garden was probably one of the highlights for us. We saw a "type" of Christ in you that we hope to take home and share with our students, congregation and community. Your gift of yourself for our renewal and refreshment was unearned and undeserved but greatly appreciated. We pray God's continued blessings on your two and your ministry.

Many, many thanks to both of you for all your gracious hospitality this past week! You shared with us a bit of your piece of heaven here on earth-Eden by the Sea! Special thanks for the wonderful dinner prepared and served with care, love, and class! It’s obvious that you truly believe that it’s more blessed to give than to receive! May our gracious God continue to bless each of you, your family, your ministry, and all your labors of love! God’s grace, mercy, and peace are with you!

Mahalo,
For everything there is a season and a time for every matter under heaven-
a time to be born and a time to die (eccl. 3:1-2)…
but in between the two…
A time to arrive on an island to read and relax
A time to explore the North shore of Oahu
A time to sleep, shop and snorkel
A time to Waikiki, Hawaiian Pink and Dukes
A time for sand between the toes and walks on the beach
A time for love and snuggling
A time for raindrops and sunshine
A time for fine dining and new acquaintances in Christ
A time for peace and quiet in paradise
A time to remember those w ho sacrificed their lives
A time to encourage a new marine facing his battles
A time to thank God for Jeff and Lynda
A time for the past in Arizona, Bowfin, Missouri
A time for the present in Rachel Ann Louise, my gift
A time for the future in returning to shepherd souls,
“God has made everything beautiful in its time. Also He has put eternity
in mans heart…that everyone should eat and drink and take pleasure in all
his toil-this is God’s gift to man.” (Eccl. 3:11, 13)

Dear Jeff and Lynda,
There are no words to express the total blessing you have provided us during our stay with you on this beautiful island! The accommodations are cozy, comfortable, peaceful and private. You both made us feel so welcome even before we arrived. The maps and travel information you provided about Oahu gave us all we needed to fill our days with wonderful journeys to explore this incredible paradise. And the dinner you provided was an exceptional meal prepared and served by loving hands. You made us feel like Hawaiian royalty, and like family all at the same time. Thank you, thank you, thank you, for helping to make our celebration of 25 years together something we will never forget!! May our gracious God b less and keep you, and continue to provide you the means to provide this special corner of paradise to those who need it!

Thanks so much for making our 25th anniversary so special. We have never visited Hawaii before and are so glad we could visit in this relaxed way. We were able to see Oahu at our own pace and always able to return to a calm, relaxed setting. The dinner you prepared was very special and much appreciated. Thanks for the photo. Would we come back again? We did indeed and found that we were doubly blessed during our entire time at Eden by the Sea. We enjoyed the beaches, Hanauma Bay twice and the opportunity for the first time in many moons to walk to worship at your mission church in Kailua. We shall continue to promote Eden by the Sea and keep you in our prayers. Until we meet again, God bless!

Dear Jeff & Lynda,
This is our 4th trip to Hawaii. The first 3 trips we took all the tours. This trip was our relaxing one. Here are ten reasons this last week has been like a second honeymoon.
- I had Edna all to myself. I didn't have to share her with anyone.
- The two or three dips in the spa each day.
- The beautiful weather
- The PT Cruiser convertible National gave us at the airport.
- Morning and afternoon trips to the beach each day
- Delicious meals at the local restaurants.
- Worshipping and meeting members at Good Shepherd
- Movies on channel 64
- The comfortable bed
- The outstanding anniversary dinner you served us
God loves you and so do we!

Dear Jeff & Lynda,
A beautiful place to spend our 40th anniversary. A peaceful place to walk and talk and listen, just listen, to the still small voice that penetrates the inner man. A living place where God's Spirit dwells in the hearts of our hosts and the surroundings which demonstrates His love, always beyond what we can think or ask. A refreshing place for renewal and rebirth in anticipation of resurrection. We thank God for this place and your ministry to make it what it is.

Dear Jeff & Lynda,
We came here with few expectations but rather were open to experience whatever surprises each day would bring. And, oh, the surprises! This oasis, Eden by the Sea, is a welcoming, soothing place. We enjoyed your hospitality and the opportunities to worship at your churches. We were surprised by all the easy access to all the beaches, the loveliest one being your beach in Kailua, in our opinion. We were enthralled by the beauty of the mountains, the color of the water, snorkeling at Shark's Cover and we were glad we did so much exploring. We celebrated the three month anniversary of Ken's heart attack by climbing Diamond Head. And now we return with spectacular memories. We carry with us a love for Hawaii and a deep gratitude for all you have shared with us. Thank you. May God bless you in your love for each other and in your ministry to others.

Dear Jeff and Lynda,
Not finding the guest book, I must subject you dear ones to reading my thoughts on “stationary” quite unmatched to the grace and quality I have relished these last few days at Eden by the Sea. Your ministry to me was well timed as a blessed gift….Beyond Eden by the Sea are the two of you. It’s your personal love conveyed through all of this ministry that brings refreshment. Thank you so much. Thank you, too, for this gift being multiplied a hundred times over as church workers will continue to be refreshed here. Amen and amen to the ministry you both provide to many through this beautiful “home” and place of serenity and refuge. In the midst of all the swirling pushes and pulls of serving Christ in a broken world, this is a place to rest awhile and to be served by the Master Himself. Thank you for being His hands, His feet and His heart. God bless you.

Wow, what a magnificent ten days we have had! The time has been exactly for us what a vacation should be – a time for refreshment and renewal…in practically every way. We surely are grateful, Jeff and Lynda, for your incredible ministry of hospitality. Alice and I are both convinced that the Gospel, at its core, is really about hospitality – God’s and our responsibility to demonstrate it. You two do it as well as anybody we have ever known. We promise to spread the word among the Presbyterian family. Thanks again!

Jeff and Lynda,
“Bless your heart”! During our ministry in the south, Judy and I heard that phrase many times. “Bless your heart!” Many times it was said somewhat patronizingly-“Judy, you’ve been married to Bob for 30 years? Bless your heart!!” But more often than not, it was a sincere Southern aloha-“Bless your Heart!” To both of you, we say, “Bless your Hearts!” God is using you in a mighty way in your congregational ministry and in this very special ministry at Eden by the Sea where you’ve blessed our hearts! And we have been blessed! In the church, we are taught how to take care of everybody and everything but ourselves-You have created a ministry to literally and figuratively “Bless our Hearts”-to extend our life and ministry in the body of Christ-you have restored-revived-and refreshed our energies!! Bless Your Hearts! May God continue to bless you even as you are a blessing to so many!

Dear Jeff and Lynda,
Aloha! Our expectations in coming to Eden by the Sea were more than met! We expected a modest place to hang our hats. We found a first class guesthouse fully-equipped with top-drawer amenities that anticipated all our needs. We expected a quiet setting away from the tourists of Waikiki. We found one of the finest beaches in the world at Kailua. We expected a varying mix of sights to see – Polynesian Cultural Center, Pearl Harbor, Hanauma Bay (don’t miss it!), and much of the rest. We found that we loved it all. We expected to meet a nice LCMS couple with a special ministry of hospitality. We found dear friends for life who share our passion for God’s mission in this new time for the church. Would we return to Eden by the Sea? In a heartbeat! Are we going to recommend it to others in the Southeastern district? Absolutely! Will we pray for the Muellers as they seek to fulfill the vision God has given to them? You bet!

Dear Jeff & Lynda,
There are two very special blessings in this place - Eden by the Sea and you. Eden by the Sea was more than we ever imagined and the blessing of meeting you two inspires us to even greater mission efforts. You fed us in many ways. We will go back to Kansas refreshed and ready for our tasks ahead. We carry many wonderful memories back home. We loved the ocean, sea life and mountain views. We will reflect on our wonderful quiet times together. May the Lord continue to bless you, your ministries and Eden by the Sea. What a great place to kick off a three-month sabbatical! More than a vacation, this is an exceptional experience! This is truly refreshment for body, mind, and spirit. Thanks to your Spirit-led ministry. We are delighted with the plumaria and other flora, the beauty of such a variety of palms, the steep towering mountains, refreshing rain, and the warm sunny beaches and water! We can't compliment enough our hosts, Jeff and Lynda, for their exceptional provision for every need, the warm friendship and fellowship, the family atmosphere combined with gracious privacy, the enriching worship experiences, and the "above and beyond" hospitality! The superb gourmet dinner was tasty, delightful, and romantic. Our prayer requests were fulfilled in super abundant measure. Jeff and Lynda,
This place called "Eden by the Sea" has so much blessings to all who have come to taste it. The voices of the early birds' song. The afternoon sun brightens every corner. The evening wind and rain delivers His messages to me that came along with the wind: "Let the wise listen and add to their learning, and let the discerning get guidance" Proverbs 1:5.
"Eden by the Sea" is all about God's love and His creations.

Jeff and Lynda,
What a wonderfully spiritually refreshing week with sun, fun, sightseeing of God's beautiful creation. We enjoyed your hot tub every day, breakfast in our private patio and a beautifully decorated room and kitchenette in Hawaiian motif.
We loved worshiping with you on Sunday and witnessing your welcoming, warm outreach worship style. God has called you to a wonderfully mission minded ministry to a diverse multi cultural area and we witnessed both Lynda's and Jeff's gifts. I add to what Marv said! Watching the two of you has been an inspiration to us both.

God has blessed this place in a mighty way. His presence is felt here because of your hearts to serve Him in this amazing ministry. You have truly prepared an Eden, a respite; a place to walk with and rest in God. Thank you more than we can say. The beautiful island touches you have applied grace Eden by the Sea. your prayers and loving hearts graced our visit. We are ready to go back to work for the Lord.

PS. Are you sure we can't have the bed?
"Wonderful", "Marvelous", "Charming", "Cozy" all describe what you've created here for others to enjoy. Love the island decor, the "welcoming path and patio", hot tub and all the rest. Great mood music & candles all added to a romantic couple of days & much needed get away. Our only regret is that we didn't allow for more days on our trip.
